PAUL E. KONCHAGULIAN
As an artist and a sculptor my hope is to bring art into everyday life and to make it available to
everyone. My primary focus is on public art and it's ability to transform an area and inspire
communities.
I have worked in many mediums but my true love is steel. I'm drawn to steel for two distinct
reasons; it's rigidity and it's malleability. Though these properties sound like opposites they
actually work in tandem perfectly. Steel's rigidity let's me create in large-scale while it's
malleability allows me to explore a more whimsical softer side of sculpture. The combination of
these qualities and my love of public art keeps me coming back for more.
