Lee Luening and Sherri Treeby have been an artist team for 25 years and have placed over 150 public bronze sculptures.

 

 

Hey Mary Lou! represents a third string underclassman who gets around the end in his first chance at glory,  as puberty takes over near the side line as he waves at the cute cheerleader.  The tough linebacker, at this point, with only his cheek bone touching, has whole hardily launched himself into the tackle. glory is fleeting.    "Hey, Mary Lou!" won the 2011 Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk "People's choice Award" and Purchase Award.    It was also purchased in the Eu Claire, Washington Sculpture Walk.
